Help Cat Anderson Walk Again: Support Her Family
Donation protected
My name is Kirsten, and I’m humbly asking for your help on behalf of someone incredibly special — my sister-in-law, Cat Anderson. On July 1st, 2025, Cat’s life changed in an instant.
What began as a normal day — dropping her son off for drum lessons — ended in a devastating accident. As she walked out of the music studio, Cat tripped on a misplaced doorstop and fell. The fall caused a traumatic dislocation of her tibia and, far more critically, severed an artery in her leg. She was rushed to Northside Gwinnett Hospital where she underwent emergency surgeries to save her limb and her life. But despite every effort, the damage was too extensive. Just days later, Cat underwent a life-altering amputation above the knee.
Cat is 35, with a birthday coming up on July 10th. She’s a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mom to two young boys (ages 7 and 9), and a beloved preschool teacher at Lawrenceville First Baptist Church — the kind who makes every child feel seen, safe, and loved. Her classroom was always full of laughter, music, and curiosity. That’s just who she is — bright, full of heart, and endlessly giving.
Now, Cat faces a future that none of us could have imagined — one filled with unimaginable physical, emotional, and financial challenges. Her family’s world has been turned upside down. Their two-story home is no longer accessible to her. Medical bills are already piling up. Cat will need prosthetics, rehabilitation, and lifelong care. She won’t be able to return to work anytime soon — if at all. And her “fun money” income, which used to cover things like baseball fees, drum lessons, Christmas gifts, and family adventures, is suddenly gone.
Her husband, Josh, has not left her side. He’s her rock — working tirelessly to support their boys while trying to stay strong through the storm. But this is more than one family can shoulder alone.
That’s why we’re asking — with full hearts and deep hope — for your help.
Your donation will go directly to:
* Modifying or relocating their home to be
accessible
* Covering medical and rehabilitation costs
— now and for years to come
* Replacing lost income so their boys can
still enjoy music, sports, and childhood joy
* Supporting childcare needs while Cat
recovers and relearns daily life
If you’ve ever loved someone who lights up a room, who gives more than she ever takes, then you know Cat. She’s keeping her sense of humor, her grit, and her grace — but she needs our support now more than ever.
Please, give what you can. Share her story. Help us carry Cat and her family through this heartbreaking, hope-filled chapter.
With deepest gratitude,
Kirsten
