Help Eduardo's Team Serve Communities in El Salvador

We are raising money for a team of people in El Salvador. Their mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people in their area but also to aid the community through food donations, community outreach events, medical assistance, construction assistance, and multimedia support to raise awareness of community needs. This team is called Castillo del Rey Oriente and is led by Eduardo Araujo, Supervisor de Zona Oriente.

Castillo del Rey is a large organization in El Salvador and has a presence in many other countries, but the situation in Oriente is different. Eduardo and his team receive very limited support from the larger organization because of how remote this area is compared to the rest of the country. This has not stopped their desire to help their communities. Eduardo has enlisted the volunteer help of two primary assistants, Magdalena Martinez and Balmore Rodriguez, offering direct aid to more than 50 local churches, many very far apart, spanning an area that encompasses Usultan Province, Alegria, San Miguel, Ciudad Barrios, Jucuapa, and many other communities in between.

Eduardo and his team have fostered the growth of this ministry, reaching tens of thousands of individuals with a community of volunteers on a non-existent budget for years.

Our goal now is to help them raise money to foster further growth in this ministry. They need a reliable four-wheel-drive vehicle to transport supplies and volunteers to the more remote areas of their ministry. At this time, volunteers are borrowing vehicles, renting vehicles, going on foot, and using public transportation. This has been effective but often unreliable, especially in the most remote areas where the need is great. They also need financial support to continue to pour out benevolence in these areas through food donations and ministry supplies. To clarify of the $25,000 goal, $15,000-$20,000 dollars would be used to purchase a reliable vehicle and the remaining balancing of $5,000-$10,000 would be used to make any necessary repairs associated with buying a used vehicle and to insure the vehicle with remainder used to provide food bags to the most destitute areas that are being served and other ministry supplies in those communities.CDR Oriente has a great Facebook page that highlights what God is doing in these areas.
