On December 13, my family was devastated by the tragic loss of Jonathan Cruz, who was killed in a hit-and-run incident. Jonathan was not only a beloved family member but also the devoted father of a bright and loving 5-year-old boy named Castiel. Castiel’s life has already been filled with unimaginable challenges, as his mother disappeared when he was just 2 months old, leaving Jonathan to raise him on his own.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help with funeral arrangements for Jonathan and to ensure that Castiel has a chance at a secure and hopeful future. After covering funeral expenses, any remaining funds will be placed into a dedicated account to serve as a foundation for Castiel's future, providing him with opportunities that Jonathan would have worked so hard to give him.

This is a heartbreaking time for our family, and we want to honor Jonathan’s memory while doing everything we can to support Castiel during this difficult transition.
