5 years ago, my life charted a different course when I woke up in a hospital room. Fighting for my life with major injuries sustained from a drunk driver who pummeled her car into a large group of cyclists, I knew the road ahead would be long.

Despite major physical recovery after surgeries, I am currently suffering from an injury (scapular dyskinesis) that is exacerbated by my previously existing condition sustained in the collision (partial claviculectomy).
My scapular dyskinesis injury has led me to the ER, Urgent Care, and Primary Doctors on 10 separate occasions since September. I have seen 9 different doctors so far. With more appointments to come, radiology testing to be done, and physical therapy, my goal is to determine a plan of action on how to treat the cause of the chronic pain I have been suffering.

This has prevented me from being able to fully rely on my career in hairstyling, cutting, and coloring, as the physical activity doesn't agree with my injuries.

I have been homeless, inconsistently employed, and fighting for the state of my mental and physical health for the past four years.

I sought out to stabalize myself and seek the healthcare necessary for my recovery in Los Angeles, as it is the only network where my medical insurance is covered.

Although I have currently found housing, until I can fully recover, I am extremely limited in my resources and looking for whatever help I could get to secure my footing.

I have picked up odd jobs and continue to do so, but at this moment freelancing is just not enough. If I could be secured in the living space I've found, it will give me the time needed to find a reliable job and invest in education to take back my future.

Once stabalized in LA, I will have the ability to recover from my injuries with accessible medical care, and I would like to continue my education in the sciences and jewelry design. Your help could allow me the life quality necessary to truly heal and finally move forward.

$2,000 would cover my rent for 4 months, or 2 months with funds for gas and other bills(storage, car insurance, phone), as I get back on my feet, attending doctors appointments and applying for jobs.
