Help Cassy Bring Speech Therapy to Belize

My name is Cassy Callahan, and I am currently pursuing my dream of becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist. I recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and I am now a graduate student at Fort Hays State University.

Thanks to my university, I have an incredible opportunity to volunteer in Belize, where I can apply my education and passion for helping others. This trip is specifically designed for students like me who are eager to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others as well as gain clinical and cultural experiences.

In Belize, I'll be working with children, adults, and their families who have communication disorders, providing much-needed support and therapy. Our work will involve not only direct treatment but also educating families on how to support their children's communication development. This experience will not only enhance my skills as a future clinician but also allow me to give back to a community that lacks access to essential speech and language services.

However, as a full-time student, the costs associated with this trip are challenging for me to do on my own. This is where I need your help. Your donation will directly support my journey to Belize, covering travel expenses, accommodations, and necessary supplies for the work I'll be doing.
