Hey everyone! My name is Cassie. As many of you know, I am in final trimester of pregnancy. Recently, Nathan put in two months notice at his job because his work schedule will not work with our child’s care needs and his job didn’t offer good medical benefits our son will need for his heart issues. After giving his company 2 months notice and being with the company for 12 years, his employer decided to let him go. We are in desperate need of financial help to get through the next few months. Little background on baby’s story. After trying to conceive for almost a year with issues from PCOS, my husband Nathan and I are expecting a baby boy. We found out we were expecting in December. A few months later, multiple blood tests confirmed we were expecting our first boy. At our 20-week anatomy scan, it was discovered he has hypoplastic left heart, which will result in a 3-stage reconstruction on his heart after he is born. Even after these surgeries, he eventually may still need a heart transplant.

Our miracle baby will have to have his first two surgeries within the first 6 months of his life, and the third and hopefully last surgery will be around a few years old. This will result in very high medical bills even after insurance. These bills and time off from work could result in severe loss of income, which could result in loss of home, vehicles, short on utilities—all of it. We will also struggle with providing gifts and such for our older two children, who are currently 16 and 10, as the second surgery may be around Christmas time and their birthdays. I have been given a pay cut and reduction in hours at work due to construction work being slow.

Please pray for us and our little miracle on the way. Expected delivery is around the beginning to mid-August as they want to either induce me early or plan a c-section so I can deliver where the heart surgery will take place in case it has to happen immediately after he’s born. Any prayers, donations, or information on work-from-home jobs that I can do on top of my normal job, as well as any organizations I may be able to contact for assistance in all of these upcoming costs, would be greatly appreciated.
