Help Cassie with Chris’s accident, lost income, expenses
Donation protected
To our Village,
This was created on behalf of my amazing mom (Cassie George) in support of her loving life partner (Chris Coxon).
As many of you may have heard, Cassie’s partner, Chris, was in a horrific accident on March 30th. A giant tree fell and crushed him while driving, causing several life-threatening injuries, including a broken neck, rendering him paralyzed from his waist down. He has had at least 5-6 surgeries, and will be on a ventilator until his chest heals. It’s a serious miracle that he survived, and continues to fight. It’s going to be a long road of recovering, navigating, and adapting. While he has been receiving care in the ICU, Cassie has continually been by his side at the hospital as they weather this unpredictable and traumatic experience, one day at a time.
While we navigate getting them the proper support that they will need long term, we are looking to address some very specific immediate needs which will likely be overlooked in the grand scheme of things. So far, Cassie has missed almost a month of work since the accident, which means she has had zero income since March 30th. We are hoping to find some community support in helping her recoup some of her lost income— as well as the numerous ongoing costs they will incur while navigating and adapting their life with paralysis, and the many needs and changes associated with that.
Thank you for any amount or type of support you are able to contribute, whether financial or moral support, prayers or lending a hand. We appreciate and feel the overwhelming amount of love, uplifting and embracing Chris, my mom, and our families during this time—our little community is a mighty one, and we are truly so grateful for every single one of you, no gesture is lost on us ❤️
