This fundraiser was started for my daughter Cassandra (Cassie) Bennett. Cassie is a self-employed, sole proprietor LMT who has been serving her community in Molalla, OR, for over 10 years. She specializes in deep tissue massage and has many clients who rely on her to keep themselves moving and as pain-free as possible.

Just before Christmas (2025), Cassie was in a car accident while on her way home from work. Though the collision was low speed, it resulted in her car being totaled and Cassie received injuries to her neck and upper back. The other vehicle did not pull over and left the scene. Cassie has been on limited work hours since the accident but has not been able to make headway on her recovery due to how physically demanding her job is. Her doctor recommended that she take a month off work to let her body heal properly to lessen the chance of re-injury. All that being said, if Cassie doesn't work, she does not get paid. There is no sick leave and minimal options for help; the financial burden is significant. Asking for help was a hard decision for Cassie to make, but she is motivated to get well so she can return to helping her clients. She truly loves her job and loves helping people through massage. If you've ever had Cassie work on you before, you know how gifted she is.

If you can contribute financially, no matter the amount, it would be tremendously impactful. Our goal is to raise $4,200 to help cover some of her living expenses for the next month. In addition, Cassie has created a page on Facebook called, "Cassie's Tiny Treasures." During her downtime since the accident, Cassie has been creating some really neat items, from jewelry to creative bookends, little houses, crystal landscapes, and even a lamp/night light feature. She'll start listing these items on her page soon.
