Cassie is my 2-year-old White Short Hair cat, and she has been part of my life since she was just three weeks old. She’s always been the cutest little thing, bringing so much joy and comfort to my days. This morning, something terrifying happened—Cassie was attacked by a coyote right outside our home. I ran out and chased the coyote away to save her, but she was left with serious injuries. The vet suspects she may have a spinal injury and will need extensive surgery to have a chance at recovery.

Right now, Cassie is in 24-hour care, and the costs for her emergency surgeries and ongoing recovery are more than I can afford on my own. She means the world to me—she’s truly like a child to me—and I can’t imagine not doing everything possible to help her heal.
