Cassie Hitz has faced more than her share of challenges this year. A dedicated worker at a medical company, Cassie has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since she was 9 years old. In January, her life changed dramatically when she lost her sight due to complications from diabetes. Despite undergoing three surgeries, her vision has not returned, and she is unable to work. This has been a huge emotional and financial strain on both of us.

We are doing everything we can to support Cassie’s recovery, but the medical bills keep piling up. Her doctor now requires a significant payment before she can continue receiving care, and we are struggling to cover these costs. On top of this, I have had two surgeries myself this year and have not been able to find full-time work, making it even harder to keep up with our expenses.
