On Monday July 12th Cassie Warford wife and mother from Little Elm Texas went to the emergency room. What she had hoped could be easily cured was unfortunately diagnosed as ESRD, (end stage renal disease.) This means that her kidneys stopped working. She was given several pints of blood, had two procedures and dialysis which will continue until we can find a kidney donor.
Cassie must have home dialysis 7 days a week upon being released from the hospital. She will get treatment at a dialysis center and have 2 weeks of class before home treatments begin. Her blood type is common, (A Positive) and we hope to find a kidney donor, but we can not meet with the transplant team for 90 days.
As many of you know Cassie is a role model of a human being. Fondly known in the Scouts as “Cub Master Cassie” she worked diligently to help her two sons and many other Little Elm Boy Scouts attain badges and for several she was instrumental in their Eagle ranking. Cassie also worked as a Sunday school teacher at Fellowship Church, helped organize food drives for the Little Elm food bank, park clean ups and much more.
Cassie will have disability insurance that begins in 90 days and most medical bills will be covered by insurance, but she needs our help for unpaid medical expense and lost wages. Cassie’s friends and family are asking for donations to help her during this crucial time. Please pray for Cassie. Please give if you can, and please share in hopes of finding a kidney donor for this amazing person who has given to so many.
