Hello and thank you for finding your way to this page!

We are setting up a fundraising mission for my sister-in-law, Cassidy Blankenship. She was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage 2b Grade 3, an aggressive form of breast cancer with a lymph node involvement.

She is an amazing 25 year old mother to two beautiful and beloved little girls, Blaze (6) and Lynnix (4) and a devoted wife to her husband, Ryan.

After initially finding a mass in her breast at the beginning of July 2025 Cassidy immediately sought help from her medical team. Due to her age the doctors did not think the mass posed a significant risk at first, even with a family history of breast cancer, and failed to perform a mammmogram to validate Cassidy's concerns. This decision unfortunately delayed the diagnosis and allowed the mass time to grow and involve her lymph nodes around the breast tissue. Finally, after a lot of anticipation the mass was diagnosed by ultrasound at the end of August 2025. It was confirmed as an aggressive estrogen-driven breast cancer, Invasive Ductal Carnicoma. The severe nature of this diagnosis may worsen depending on the outcome of Cassidy's next scans as well, but we have hope that things will stay the same.

Cassidy has a long and challenging road ahead of her with too many appointments and procedures to list. However, in the beginning she will be facing a chemotherapy port insertion procedure, 8 weeks of intensive bi-weekly chemotherapy referred to as, "The Red Devil," with each session lasting around 6 hours, and followed by an additional 12 weeks of continual, but less aggressive chemotherapy sessions lasting around 1.5 hours each time. In total, there will be around 5 months for chemotherapy treatments. Once that is finished the surgical team will assess if her scans are clear enough to be confident they can get clean margins and Cassidy will be undergoing a double mastectomy to remove both breasts and lymph nodes. The oncology team has also discussed radiation therapy for Cassidy after the minimum recovery of two months from surgery. The micro-dosing radiation therapy would reduce the chances for her cancer to spread or to return. Reconstructive surgery will be done at a later time and those costs are thankfully already covered.

The estimated timeline for Cassidy's cancer treatment right now is a minimum of over one year and heavily depends on how things progress with the treatment plan and follow-up scans. There are so many unknowns ahead and every bit of financial help or prayer is welcomed and appreciated. Her husband, Ryan, has taken on the monumental role as a full-time caregiver while they attend multiple appointments a week and process the diagnosis together. All of this is happening while having two small children, one in elementary school, and is not an easy task ontop of managing a full-time job and maintaining a household. There will be countless missed workdays for Ryan and travel expenses that come up for this treatment plan ontop of the strain of what they already know. Cassidy and Ryan are utilizing any and all available resources to reduce the worries that cancer has unfortunately placed upon them.

Cassidy is a blessing to our family, her children and husband, and so many who care for her. She has an incredibly determined outlook on fighting this cancer and is truly already showing what a warrior she is! We have a God that can move mountains and these sweet babies need their Mama so please help us to offer support through the times ahead.

If you feel led to donate, share the fundraiser, or pray for this incredible woman to ease the mental and financial burden it would be a blessing! Thank you in advance for anything you are able to do and we will provide updates as we can.
