Day 62 at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

I think this will come as a surprise to Vito and Michelle and of course Cassidy too. For those unaware, Cassidy has been fighting a battle for her entire life; she celebrated her 17th birthday yesterday as a patient at Philadelphia’s Children Hospital of Philadelphia. She has been there for a month. Vito has not left her side. I don’t have all the details, to be honest, but what I do know is that this stay is just one of the many long hospital stays she (& her unwavering, ever-hopeful, dedicated Daddy too) has had to endure. She’s had at least 30 surgeries, including 18 heart catheterizations and a total of 23 heart procedures. When you read Vito’s posts of updates through the years, he commendably and astonishingly always remains grateful for others' positive vibes and well-wishes. He is always grateful to the teams of countless specialized doctors and surgeons from various fields who are trying to figure out how to help his little girl live a healthier life. He is always grateful for what is because he takes none of it for granted. By comparison, at a children’s hospital, he knows too well that although it’s been a harrowing road, his girl has won countless battles in her 17 years. I’m in awe of Cassidy’s and Vito’s strength, perseverance, dedication, and patience. These kinds of battles take a toll on all family members, and of course, Michelle and Eden’s devotion, support, and love are unwavering as well. I set this fund up for all of them. I can only assume that hospital expenses, family travel for visitations, and Vito not working so he can be with his girl every step of the way (as he has always done) are just some of the financial concerns that their family must be going through. Holidays are approaching. Cassidy just had her 17th B’day in a hospital yesterday as they are still trying to navigate her medical issues. I can only imagine that their combined wish is that Cassidy could just win this battle (and she will!!) so she can get home with hope that she will go home to live a healthier life. My hope is to raise enough money to alleviate any financial burden that lingers, and/or Cassidy gets to look forward to something really special when she wins this battle! Please consider donating if and what you can. There is no dedication too small. In closing, I’d be amiss if I didn’t ask as Vito has only ever asked for which is to keep praying and/or sending positive and healing vibes Cassidy’s way. On a personal note, Cassidy, Vito, Michelle, and Eden, it is my absolute pleasure to know each of you, and I can honestly say no one has bigger or more beautiful hearts than yours♥️ Cassidy girl, you got this! Good days are coming, sweet girl♥️
