Help Cassidy & Baby
Donation protected
Cassidy's beloved cat, Baby, went in for a routine operation to remove an abscess tooth a few weeks ago. Infection set in, and another now serious oral operation was done to remove infection. During the week in between operations, a tumor started to grow on her cheek. Before the second operation, a biopsy was sent out. During the 2nd recovery Baby was healing and we had forgotten about 'the test'. Last Thursday the results came back in positive for carcinoma. We went back to the vet last Friday, got fluids, and decided to not proceed with an oncologist because of expense, and the fact Baby had already gone thru enough. Cassidy decided to fulfill her bucket list with Baby before we go thru the end of life decisions. We made a family trip to watch the sunrise on Tybee Saturday morning. When we got home, Baby decided she wasn't done. Baby is now eating, drinking, and wanting to play outside (she is an indoor only cat who is now allowed supervised explorations!)
We are asking for donations because if Baby isn't quitting, neither should we. We just can't afford anymore. Cassidy has already spent over $1500 of her money she earned over summer to not have to work during the school year. I cannot help anymore as I am currently in between jobs. Since surgery isn't an option, we want to go to the oncologist but are looking at many treatments with chemo. We expect many more bills during treatment which we cannot afford, but if you read how Cassidy got Baby, you will understand why we don't want to quit on this special kitty.
Please read the story below of Baby and Cassidy.
While I never ask for help, I am for Baby. We would be so grateful for any donations.
