Cassandra Benfield is my husband's sister, and her family has been struck by a devastating tragedy. On March 21, a fire destroyed their home near Batesville in Habersham County. The fire broke out in the afternoon, and despite the quick response from local firefighters and support from state forestry crews, the home was a total loss. Cassandra’s husband, who has mobility issues, was outside the home when help arrived, but he suffered serious burns on his face, chest, and arms. He was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital for urgent care, and the family is now facing a long road to recovery.
This unimaginable event has left Cassandra, her husband, and their two children without a home or basic necessities. The funds raised will go directly toward medical expenses for her husband’s treatment, as well as helping the family with temporary housing, clothing, food, and transportation to and from the hospital. Every bit of support will help them rebuild and find stability during this incredibly difficult time.
Any donation and prayers would be greatly beneficial to the family to help during this devastating event. Our love is pouring out to their family, and we want to thank anyone who sends prayers and is able to help during this time. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference as they begin to heal and rebuild their lives.
