Help Cassandra Escape to Safety and Stability

Donation protected
My name is Cassandra, and I'm a survivor of childhood sex trafficking and domestic, psychopathic violence that nearly took my life as an adult in 2022. When I made the decision to leave the domestic violence two years ago in July, I was immediately catapulted into homelessness. I hadn't been allowed to work for my decade-long relationship, and I had incurred a laundry list of health issues that also prevented me from working and even carrying out everyday tasks. I, unfortunately, had been married to someone who had both psychopathy & Munchausen by proxy, and she had been purposely making me sick to collect my inheritance (which she successfully stole).

After escaping, my health immediately began to improve, and it became obvious what had been happening to me for a decade. Since 2022, I've been on the run from my ex wife and primarily living in the car I inherited from my sister upon her death a mere month before my escape. But because I've had to move across the country to remain safe, I haven't been able to gain access to things like disability for my extensive cPTSD.

Unfortunately, in April of this year, my car (which was also my primary shelter) caught on fire in the state of Utah, taking everything I owned with it. And since May, I've been living in a homeless shelter in Utah where I'm not extremely safe as a queer, trafficking survivor.

Because of bodily injuries sustained to my kidneys, heart, and lymphatic system due to the unique domestic violence perpetrated against me, the altitude in Utah is making me extremely sick and is exacerbating my heart and kidney issues, and my body isn't responding to any treatments or nutritional adjustments.

I am currently without a vehicle or steady employment, and I am unable to work remotely in the shelter due to having no space or quiet time to do so. My bodily injuries are preventing me from getting an in-person job. I am currently working on a plan to get back to the East Coast to the DC area so that I can start doing activism work to help individuals like myself. I have been working on networking in the area.

I am in need of a vehicle and money to get across the country back to a geographic location more conducive to my health and to my healing, so that I can work on gaining stability and employment that will allow me to lay down roots. I also haven't had the opportunity to replace all of my personal items, and am still in need.

Ideally, a vehicle would be large enough to also act as housing for me while I save to be able to afford a roof over my head. But I'm currently more concerned with simply making it out of the high altitude so that my health can return to a more normal baseline.

Any donation, large or small, is appreciated! Thank you so much for taking the time to hear my story.
