Hello Everyone,

In order for my aunt to walk across the stage in May 2025 with her Master's, and get her diploma, she must past the outstanding bill that caught her by surprise. Let me tell you about her journey.

Cassandra is my favorite Aunt. I have made this Go Fund me to get her some help with her school bill/expenses. My aunt always expressed the importance of obtaining an education. In 2007, she decided to go back and obtain her Associates Degree in Business Administration. I watched my aunt commit herself to her studies and achieving the goals she has always set for herself when she was a kid. She has always wanted to achieve all 4 degrees and earn the title Dr. Carter.

Cassandra graduated in 2010 with her Associates degree from Erie Community College and continued her educational goals towards her Bachelor’s degree at SUNY Buffalo State University. A month after starting school, she had a surgery and incurred a bad infection which almost took her life. She was forced to take a medical leave from school. From 2011 thru 2015, Cassandra has gone through multiple hospital stays, surgeries, pain and suffering. Although she was still in the healing process, in 2014, Cassandra decided to volunteer at Cold Spring Community Foundation, Plate of Love Ministry soup kitchen where she served people in to community twice a week. In 2016 Cassandra decided to return back to school to finish her Bachelor’s degree and was unable to due to her breast cancer diagnosis. My aunt went through her treatment while still trying to volunteer at the soup kitchen until her Dr. too her out for a few months. Part of my aunt’s treatment was to take a pill for 5 years in order to reduce the chances of the breast cancer reoccurring. As my aunt took this pill, I watched how it was tearing her body down. She always spoke on how bad her joints and bones ached all over her body. There were times where she said she walked like an old lady. Through it all, she continued to volunteer. In 2021 she finished taking the medication but was still suffering in pain on a daily basis. No matter what, my aunt refused to give up. In 2022 she decided to return to school to finish her degree. Cassandra completed her Bachelor’s degree in Dec 2023 and started her advanced Master’s program in January 2024. Although she was just diagnosed with osteopenia and is in pain every day, she is still currently volunteering at the Plate of Love soup kitchen while studying for her degree. She will graduate again in May 2025. This is just a portion of my aunt’s story and determination to complete the goals she has set out to do. This Go Fund me will assist her with paying for the college bills she has outstanding. This woman has a heart of gold and would give the clothes off her body if need be. She is always there to help others and now I want us to come together and help bless her. Thank you all for your donations in advance. God bless and protect you all.
