Hello and thank you for finding interest in this post. My name is David Shirman, I am a student at Winchester High School in Massachusetts, and I'm looking for help to raise $20,000 for my dog's dialysis treatment for his kidney failure.

Casper, our three-year-old Weimaraner, recently caught leptospirosis, a fatal disease that attacks the kidneys and liver, causing them to shut down. Our only choice, other than euthanasia, is dialysis — a treatment that costs around $20,000.

At the moment, our family does not have the means to afford this. We hope the community will do what it does best and help our boy make a recovery, whether that's through donating or even sending supportive messages and well-wishes to lift him up.
