Hi, my name is Stacey, and I’m creating this fundraiser for my cousin Casie, her husband Josh, and their five children- Jeremy, Jade, Jordan, Jackson, and Jett.
Josh has recently been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a rare and serious blood cancer. Doctors have confirmed tumors on his spine, and he will begin treatment right away. Tomorrow, he’s scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy to guide his care plan.
The current treatment plan includes radiation for the tumor on his spine, chemotherapy as soon as possible, and eventually a bone marrow transplant using his own marrow—where they’ll remove it, treat it, and return it to his body. While there is no cure for multiple myeloma, the doctors are hopeful that with treatment, Josh will be able to manage this disease and return to work after 3–6 months of recovery.
In the meantime, Josh will be unable to work, leaving Casie and the kids facing incredible challenges. As the sole provider, his absence creates not only emotional stress but also financial hardship.
I’m reaching out to our friends, family, and community to rally around the Rake family during this fight. The funds raised will go directly toward:
• Medical bills and treatment costs
• Household expenses while Josh is out of work
• Supporting Casie and the kids through this difficult time
Any donation, no matter the amount, will help ease their burden and allow them to focus on what matters most—Josh’s healing and their family’s well-being. If you’re not able to give, please consider sharing this fundraiser to help spread the word.
On behalf of Casie, Josh, and the kids, thank you so much for your love, prayers, and generosity. Together, we can help them face this battle with strength and hope.
