We are starting this fundraiser on behalf of Casi, the owner of Herd & Harvest Market and a first-generation farmer who has poured her heart into building something truly special for her community.

If you’ve ever visited the farm or the store, you know how much love, hard work, and dedication she puts into everything she does—from caring for the animals to creating a space where people can connect with local food and feel at home.

Recently, Casi has been dealing with an injury that has significantly limited her ability to do the physical work that farming requires every single day. As many of you know, farming isn’t something that can just stop—and when you’re unable to work at full capacity, the challenges quickly pile up.

She is now facing not only ongoing medical expenses, but also the reality of needing at least one—and possibly multiple—surgeries, followed by a long recovery process. On top of that comes the financial strain of not being able to work the way she normally would during that time.

Despite all of this, Casi continues to show up every day, doing everything she can to keep the farm and store running.

Those of us who know her know that asking for help is not something she would ever do lightly—but right now, she could truly use the support of her community.
