Help Cash Overcome Craniosynostosis

Donation protected
On June 18th, Riley and Hunter took Cash up to Oishei Children's Hospital for a Neurology appointment, where he was diagnosed with craniosynostosis, a rare genetic disorder in which the plates of the skull fuse prematurely, causing the head to grow in an abnormal fashion.

This condition, if not treated in a timely manner, can result in developmental delays, cognitive impairment, seizures, and even blindness.

This fundraiser is to help offset the costs associated with this condition, including surgery, travel expenses, and the adorable helmets Cash will need after surgery to help protect his soft spots and reshape his head. Insurance is currently refusing to cover the cost of helmets, which are $3500 a piece.

Over the next few weeks, Riley will have to miss work in order to make several trips to Buffalo for CAT scans and consults for Cash. The goal is to perform surgery before Cash turns 5 months old, on July 28th.
