Our Story
After two years of passion, persistence, and hard work, we've created something special. "Nobody Wants to Be Here, Nobody Wants to Leave" is a darkly funny crime drama set in the Blue Ridge Mountains filmed entirely in LaGrange, Georgia. Director Cash Robinson and writer Caleb Samples poured their hearts (and savings accounts) into bringing this black comedy to life. Now, our film has been accepted to several prestigious festivals—but there's one problem: we're broke.
Why This Matters
Film festivals aren't just screenings—they're where careers are made, distribution deals happen, and independent voices find their audience. But attendance costs add up fast: travel, lodging, festival passes, and promotional materials can easily cost $2,000-5,000 per festival.
We made this film without studio backing because we wanted complete creative freedom. That independence gave us an authentic story, but it also means we're funding every step ourselves.
What Your Support Means
Every dollar helps us:
• Travel to festivals where our film is screening
• Network with distributors, producers, and fellow filmmakers
• Represent our work professionally with proper promotional materials
• Build connections that will help us make our next film
This isn't just about one film—it's about supporting independent storytelling and helping emerging filmmakers break into an industry that's notoriously difficult to navigate alone.
The Bottom Line
We've already proven we can make a film people want to see. Now we need your help to get it in front of the right people. Whether you contribute $5 or $500, you're investing in independent cinema and helping artists who choose creativity over financial security.
Every contribution gets us one step closer to turning our festival acceptances into real opportunities.
P.S. - Supporters will receive updates from the festival circuit, behind-the-scenes content, and our eternal gratitude. Plus, you'll have bragging rights when we're accepting our first award!
