POST THREE
Casey is still in the hospital. While his surgery went well, the medical staff advised they do not want to release him until he has an MRI and sees one of the cardiologists at Hochst Hospital. Casey is anxiously awaiting this to happen and is desperate to leave the hospital and come back to my house in Frankfurt. We need to learn more from his medical staff about his ability to fly back to Marin County and when it is safe to do so. From what I've heard so far, I do not think it will be less than two weeks. Casey is touched by your love and support. As of Friday afternoon September 12th, his medical bills totaled 14,966.91 EUROS. This is what every cent of your financial donations will be put toward. Casey is thankful for, and will need, every penny.
POST TWO
To all the wonderful people, thank you so much for your donations. I will tell you that it's meant more to Casey than you could ever know. He is absolutely touched, speechless, and humbled by everyone's support. Casey had emergency surgery on the artery in the left side of his neck and did not have any complications during surgery. He came out and is doing his best to recover. The doctors said he must stay in the stroke unit until at least Monday 15 September and recommended waiting some time until he flies on an airplane. We are going to work through this and do the best thing for Casey and his health. Once again, thank your so much for coming through in this time of need for someone who deserves it. Sincerely, Hilary
POST ONE
Dear friends and family, please consider donating even the smallest amount to help Casey pay for unexpected medical bills and get home from Germany. Casey is an awesome person and a long time fixture as a bartender at Marin Joe’s in Corte Madera. He is always happy and has a great attitude. When Marin Joe’s shut its doors in July 2025, Casey and his love Scarlet made plans to go on an adventure and visit Scarlet’s daughter and her family in Frankfurt, Germany. After a great and memorable visit, Casey suffered a series of mini strokes on the last day and was admitted into a German hospital in Frankfurt. He is undergoing emergency surgery to clear an artery in his neck, the source of what the doctors believe is causing the mini strokes. This turn of events was absolutely unexpected, scary, and certainly not how Casey wanted to end his adventure. Casey is in good hands in the stroke unit and we are praying for him. Casey’s medical insurance ended with his job at Marin Joe’s and his medical bills in Germany will be out of pocket. We are grateful for any contribution you can make to this great man who is a true friend to many!
