Help Casey Weiss with surgery and medical expenses
Casey Weiss has been diagnosed with Vascular Eagle Syndrome, which is causing her elongated styloid bone to press on her right and left jugular vein, cutting off blood supply, which in turn is causing excruciating pain and hindering her quality of life. With her condition she is unable to laugh, cry, turn her head in certain directions, lay flat; even wearing glasses and a face mask causes debilitating pain and extreme head pressure.
If not completed soon, she is at risk for stroke, and having to get a permanent shunt put in. She has already gotten her right side done, leaving her with facial paralysis, and needs a qualified surgeon for the left side. She also needs Chiari Malformation surgery, which is causing her brain to herniate. She has many rare conditions that only the doctors at a research hospital can treat, such as immune deficiency, autoimmune disorders, and Pannus formation, and they do not take her insurance. We are asking $50,000 for Eagles surgery, Chalari, and medical expenses from the research hospital.
Casey is the most compassionate person I know. She is a vivacious lover of life who loves nothing more than to dance and have fun. However, her quality of life has diminished severely, as she is unable to move freely without debilitating pain. She is a brave woman who has undergone two heart surgeries in the past, is suffering from Lupus, Sorjens, recurring fungal infections, severe anemia, immune deficiency, pannus formation on the brain stem, Eagle's Syndrome, Chalari, and has severe hair loss from declining health- losing sixty percent of her hair.
I have been trying to do a gofundme since January 2021 when she found out about her affliction, but she is too proud a person to ask for money. However, under the new circumstances of her conditions worsening, and after trips to countless specialists and her going broke in the process, I think the gofundme is much warranted. She needs our help now more than ever, so that she can get her life back. Let’s get Casey dancing again.
The goal is $50,000. Any donations, big or small, will be greatly appreciated in putting towards her surgery and/or traveling expenses, and will be life changing, as well as affording her a pain free life.
