Casey is a survivor of Non-Hodgkins T-cell lymphoblastic leukemia and testicular cancer, both diagnosed when he was just five years old. After years of intense radiation and chemotherapy, he finally reached remission at age 12. However, the treatments left lasting effects on his body, including early onset rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and severe dental damage. As his mother and sole caregiver, I have watched Casey struggle with chronic pain, peripheral neuropathy, and the emotional toll of being denied social security disability for years. Despite his efforts to work, his health challenges have made steady employment impossible, and he relies on me for support as I work night shifts as a nurse.

Casey’s dental health has become a major barrier in his daily life. The chemotherapy damaged his permanent teeth before they even came in, and now he faces the need for extensive dental surgery to remove all his teeth and repair his gums. Without dental insurance, the cost is overwhelming. Casey has difficulty eating and must stick to soft foods, and his speech is impaired due to missing teeth. These challenges have deeply affected his confidence and outlook on life. He has become withdrawn, avoiding social situations and feeling self-conscious about his appearance and the comments he receives from others.

Restoring Casey’s smile would mean everything to both of us. It would give him the confidence to socialize, make friends, and smile for photos again. As his mother, seeing him regain his self-esteem and happiness would be the greatest gift. Any contribution even 10 dollars or donation of services would be a true blessing and would help us move closer to giving Casey the healthy mouth and new start he deserves. Thank you for considering supporting Casey’s journey. The funds will be used to surgically extract all the teeth and get fitted for temporary teeth until gums heal then for permanent teeth
