Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,
I wish this GoFundMe was for something more fun like a musical project; instead, I'm reaching out during the most challenging time in my life. Due to the recent discovery of toxic mold in my apartment, confirmed by a professional inspection, my apartment has been deemed uninhabitable and unsafe for human occupancy.
This discovery explains my persistent, mysterious health issues I've been facing behind the scenes since moving to Nashville. I moved here to pursue my passion for music, but over that time, I began experiencing intense and unexplained health issues—chronic fatigue, brain fog, migraines, insomnia, sinus problems, constant infections and more. I saw countless doctors with no solutions or answers, lost two beloved cats, and my ability to create music—the very reason I moved—was slipping away. At my worst, I could barely concentrate enough to learn lyrics, and my chronic fatigue made performing as much as I wanted near impossible. Before moving here, I was playing festivals, performing four gigs a week, and writing constantly. That momentum came to a heartbreaking halt.
All my furniture and most of the rest of my belongings, clothing, and personal items have been contaminated and, per the inspector's advice, must be discarded and replaced. I'm now faced with the daunting task of moving into a new apartment, covering deposits, replacing essential items, and securing new furnishings to create a safe and healthy living environment. Additionally, I'm seeking medical care to address health issues caused by prolonged exposure to hazardous mold, which adds to the financial strain.
The emotional and financial toll of this crisis is overwhelming, and I'm humbly asking for your support to help me rebuild. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward critical expenses, including:
- Covering medical expenses for health recovery
- Replacing necessary furniture and personal items
- Securing a new, safe apartment (deposits and moving costs)
Your generosity will make an enormous difference in helping me navigate this unexpected chapter and regain stability. If you're unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean so much.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, support, and understanding during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
Casey
