Around a month and a half ago I severely injured my knee leaving me unable to walk or work. On March 17th I had surgery to repair 3 torn ligaments in my left knee. I have been struggling with paying bills since being off of work since February 9th. Medical EI pays me only 55% of my wage and it’s not even enough to cover my rent for 1 month, let alone other bills and living expenses. I feel extremely embarrassed to ask for money but I don’t know what else to do at this point. I just hope to raise enough money to pay a few months of rent and pay for prescriptions and physio (which will start in 3 weeks time).
