UPDATE 5/5/2025
Thank you all for all the positive prayers and thought for Caseys long road to recovering from double pneumonia and infection. Casey continues Doctor visits and is doing well. This turned into a nightmare to say the lease. The house he had just moved into in Nov. was infested in the attic with black mold and asbestos was also found. This was bad and Casey almost lost his life. So, i believe in positive thoughts and prayers, I can't say enough Thank you all.
Some of you may know what all we have battle and on top of almost losing Casey. The Coffee shop property was sold. This has never been a issue in the last 10 years it has sold 2 other times, and the new owner just continued to lease to Coffee Town Espresso, well not this time. The new owner decided to terminate our lease early to open her own coffee shop. This was heartbreaking and this was started when Casey was in hospital fighting for his life. Caseys Mom had retired and Casey was on lease and hoping to continue on with his and Rickys own shop, R C Coffee Co. RiseNShine offspring of Coffee Town.
So, again this is life changing and not knowing what to do. Then they were approached by property owner on other side offered Casey and Ricky a building he has just 2 doors down. WOW! So AWESOME!!! So now the building is taking time to get ready. Was hoping for first of May, but didn't happen. So much to do and now we are hoping for first of June. Financially this is rough. Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding. We miss you all and look forward to seeing you hopefully soon.
Please continue prayers and positive thoughts, thank you all. The donations have help so much, your support is a blessing. xxoo
Any questions feel free to text or call me.
UPDATE: 3/2/2025
First of all, A big thank you to all that is praying and sending positive thoughts Casey and Rickys way. And for all the donations to help them survive rather its be through GoFundMe or dropping off at the business.
After Casey was released to go home from hospital 3 weeks ago, after 3 days he went back into hospital. He was isolated because of this. Doctors was not sure what all was going on. After a week back in hospital he was released but not to go home, He went to hotel and continued to get better. Come to find out the house they rented starting in Dec 2024 attic insulation is infested with black mold and was also affecting Casey and playing a big part in him being so sick. to the point he almost died. I am happy to say after almost a month of him staying out of the house he rents, he has been doing better and not ended up back in hospital.
Casey has many Obstacles ahead. Added to him nearly losing his life. His livelihood is affected by the sale of property his business is on. The person that bought the property has evicted him and wanting to open her coffee shop. This was started when Casey was in hospital over month. Casey and Ricky are amazing people, and they are loved. They are hoping to be able to find another location close by. Please continue positive thoughts and prayers, And again Thank you for all the support during this time.
UPDATE: After 25 days, Casey is out of hospital :) He is not completely well yet. Hospital sent him with a list of prescriptions and Oxygen. He has a long road ahead before he can return to normal routine, working being one he is very excited to get back to. Thank you all for the help during this time.
Hello, my name is Debbie. I am the mother of Casey Trujillo. As a lot of people know, Casey has been sick for over a month. Then, on New Year's Eve, he went to the ER (Trios Hospital). He was sent home with antibiotics and told to come back in if not improving in 2 to 3 days. Casey was not improving; he was worsening. To the point, I called 911 three days after he left Trios. His oxygen level was 82, and his blood pressure was 78/44. The ambulance took him to Kadlec Hospital. Twice he coded on them. Casey's body was shutting down. They finally got him stable and admitted Casey to ICU, where he spent 7 days and was moved after ICU to the 7th floor care unit. 14 days later, Casey is still in the hospital with a long road ahead of him to recover. He is on 4 fluids of medicine in IV a day. The hospital has done numerous tests to be sure and rule out damage from his oxygen going so low. I didn't realize how that can affect your brain and other organs. They even did a spinal tap.
Once he is to the point to go home, Doc said he will not be able to return to work for 3-4 weeks at least.
I am reaching out for help for my son Casey, as this has put him behind in rent and more. He is even looking at losing his car. His partner Ricky is doing his best to do what he can with being the only one working and trying to balance the needs of business and home life. Also, their fur baby Otto has cancer in his liver and is on medication. This breaks my heart as a mother to not be able to financially help my son. I have been in Tri-Cities at the hospital and his home trying to help with what I can do.
Thank you for helping and taking the time to read. Prayers and positive thoughts are so very appreciated.
Thank you all...
