Help Casey Learn Spanish!

I have been accepted to and received financial aid to attend Middlebury's Spanish Summer Institute. During this intensive, immersive 7-week program I will make a language pledge to only use Spanish.

Unfortunately, because I am a senior Swarthmore will not provide further financial aid to help me get to Middlebury. So I am hoping that you can contribute, any amount really makes a difference to the $5,000 I still need to pay.

Learning Spanish is important to me as something that during my time in college, completing my pre-med and neuroscience major requirements, I haven't had time to devote to. Spanish will be an invaluable skill to me as a physician, as well as someone particularly interested in health disparities and marginalised communities where language difference is an easily preventable barrier to healthcare. I also am hoping to spend time in Guatemala next year with Chris, finding his birth family.
