Help Casey Calhoun Get Stem Cell Therapy
Don protégé
Casey was a bright star on stage, she drew your attention into her passion and love for performance. She was always happiest dancing and singing. She’s studied dance her entire life and performed on stage with her father. Casey was bold and sang with anyone who invited her up onto a stage. While enjoying the many gifts in her life, she also studied and graduated from Shiatsu training to begin a career helping others.
Helping others and teaching dance was always her dream…until recently.
One morning three years ago Casey turned her head and something gave in her neck...the pain was excruciating.
Determined to heal she tried every modality she could: cranial sacral, chiropractic, physical therapy, massage, and PRP injections with her own blood. Nothing diminished the pain and over time it grew worse. She was diagnosed with cervical instability.
Cervical instability has consumed Casey's life for years now. When turning her head, riding in a car or on a train she has excruciating pain, numbness down her arms, weakness in the limbs and inflammation on the vagus nerve in her neck, which makes it hard to swallow. It has kept her from working and living a normal life.
Casey saw an Atlas Orthogonal chiropractor for eight months. His adjustments offered some relief, but couldn’t diminish her pain. He asked about any injuries she had experienced in the past. Casey told him she had rolled hard on her neck at a dance recital many years ago. He suggested that injury was the genesis of the pain and other symptoms she was experiencing.
He gave her the name of Dr. Christopher Centeno in Denver, an expert in the field of Cervical Instability. Dr. Centeno is an orthopedic surgeon whose approach focuses on helping patients avoid surgery with the use of stem cell injections that use a patient’s own bone marrow. Dr. Centeno pioneered a method that treats ligament laxity in the cervical spine through the mouth, injecting stem cells directly into loose ligaments.
Casey responded well to her first stem cell treatment in January 2025. But she will need multiple treatments to address the instability and associated pain. Dr. Centro has found that people with Casey’s condition normally require three or four treatments to effectively address their cervical instability long term.
The challenge is stem cell treatment is very expensive and not covered by insurance. Because the ongoing costs of her treatment are so high Casey is asking for your help.
Anything you can afford to offer is deeply appreciated. Even modest donations can help. With your support she hopes to return to a life not constantly disrupted by chronic pain.
