Hi, my name is Casey Forner. I’m 33 years old, a father to a beautiful 7 year old daughter, and recently engaged to the love of my life. Until recently, I worked in special education, a job I loved, helping students with unique challenges grow, learn, and feel seen.

But everything changed when I faced a devastating medical emergency that led to the amputation of my leg.

The surgery saved my life, but it also turned it upside down. I'm now in the middle of a long, painful recovery process. I’m unable to return to work right now, and I'm adjusting to life while trying to get a a prosthetic, juggling physical therapy, doctor’s visits, and the emotional toll this situation brings, not just for me, but for my family.

The hardest part has been trying to stay strong for my daughter while falling behind on everyday bills; rent, utilities, groceries, and medical costs that insurance doesn’t fully cover. I’m doing everything I can, but the financial strain has become too much to bear alone.

That’s why I’m reaching out.
