Casey and Cindy Sheppard have called their quaint craftsman home in south St. Petersburg their sanctuary for the past 30 years. On January 27, 2026, their lives changed in an instant when a devastating fire swept through their home. Thanks to their sweet dog, Lulu, who alerted them to the danger, everyone made it out safely. However, the fire destroyed a large portion of their beloved home, and, heartbreakingly, they did not have insurance to cover the loss.

Both Casey and Cindy are disabled, and Casey is also managing Parkinson's Disease. The loss of their home presents a tremendous challenge, not only emotionally but also financially. The uncertainty of whether they will be able to rebuild weighs heavily on them, especially after so many years in the community they love.

Cindy's son has provided them with a place to stay temporarily, but right now, the most urgent needs are for interim housing and replacing essential items lost in the fire. If enough support is gathered, Casey and Cindy hope to repair or even rebuild their home of 30 years. Your love, good energy, and support mean the world to them.
