Help Support Carys from Truffles Nail & Beauty After Her Wrist Injury

Hi everyone,

I’m setting up this GoFundMe for Carys, who is an amazing nail technician and beauty therapist from Truffles Nail & Beauty in Wakefield, who many of you will know for her kookie funny stories on instagram, her amazing nail art, and the warmth and safe space she creates for all her loved clients.

Unfortunately, while on holiday, Carys broke her wrist and has been told by medical professionals that she won’t be able to work until the beginning of December . As you can imagine, this is devastating news for someone whose job depends entirely on her hands.

November and December are normally the busiest months of the year for beauty professionals because it’s the time when people book in for their Christmas nails, pamper treatments, and festive glam. For Carys, this period makes up a huge part of her annual income and sadly, the insurances she’s been paying into will not cover this situation, leaving her without the financial support she was counting on. She will now sell her car just to be able to make ends meet in the short term but it’s not going to be enough.

This fundraiser is to help Carys cover her living costs and bills while she recovers, giving her one less thing to worry about while she heals. Anyone who knows her knows how hardworking and caring she is. She would alway go the extra mile for her clients and friends so now it’s our turn to show her the same support.

We appreciate that most of us are gearing up for Christmas, so every little bit will help, whether it’s £5, £10, or £20, it all adds up and will make a real difference to Carys.

How the funds will be used:

• To help cover rent and utility bills while she’s unable to work

• To contribute to everyday essentials like food, travel, and medication

• To help her get back on her feet when she’s ready to return to the salon
