My name is Caryn Stone and I am 36 years old. I just found out I have a serious genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, an autoimmune condition called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, and a neurological disorder that affects my autonomic nervous system (especially my heart) called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.

These have affected my whole life since birth and I’ve been suffering for decades with no

answers.

After years of specialists, treatments, procedures, and medication, I finally have answers. But, financially my wife and I are struggling. For the last 10 years I have struggled to work and was on intermittent FMLA missing days that I couldn’t move and missing days for procedures and recovery. I had to file for Social Security Disability Income but was denied and am now working with a lawyer to appeal. I have also applied for help through my state but haven’t heard anything.

I can’t afford my copays anymore but desperately need to continue going to my several doctors appointments and therapy appointments every week. Not to mention prescription costs!

I’m asking for help; help until my social security case is approved or until I get help from my state for Medicare.
