My name is Carvon, and I am the first of my parents’ children to attend college. This journey means everything to me and my family, but it has come with challenges I never expected. My mom has been working tirelessly, paying a significant amount each month to cover my tuition. Because of this enormous sacrifice, she had to let go of our home, and now we are currently homeless. Despite everything, my mom continues to support my dream, but we are at a breaking point.

I have exhausted every option available to me. My billing account is maxed out, and I have a remaining balance to pay for the fall semester. The deadline is January 16th. If I don’t pay it, I will be dropped from my classes and forced to leave campus. I have tried every loan, but I need a cosigner, and my mom keeps getting denied. No one else is willing to co-sign. College is my escape from reality, and I am doing everything I can to stay here and make my family proud.
