Update I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who donated, shared, prayed, and supported me after the house fire. Because of your kindness, I’ve already received enough to replace the basic things I lost like clothes and a bed. A few days ago, the house I was living in caught on fire and burned down. In just a few hours, I lost almost everything I own — my clothes, my bed, and most of the things I use every day. It’s been really hard to take in and figure out what to do next. One of the hardest parts for me is that I also lost my dad’s urn in the fire. It was the last physical thing I had of him, and losing that has been really painful on top of everything else. It doesn’t feel real that it’s just gone. Right now, I’m just trying to get back on my feet and replace the basic things I need — especially clothes and a bed so I have somewhere safe to sleep. I don’t like asking for help, but I honestly can’t do this by myself. I’m asking for help to replace some of the things I lost in the fire, and anything at all would really mean a lot to me.
