At just 11 years old, Carter has been diagnosed with leukemia, a diagnosis that has turned his world and his family’s lives upside down. No child should have to face a battle like this, and no family is ever truly prepared for the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that come with it.

Carter has a long journey ahead of him. His treatment is expected to last 2½ years, and for the next six months, he will require around-the-clock care as he undergoes intensive treatment and begins his journey toward recovery.

His loving mother, Angel, will be his sole caregiver, standing by his side every step of the way. Unfortunately, Angel’s employer does not provide benefits or paid leave that would allow her to remain home with Carter while maintaining her income. As a result, she will be unable to work as she normally would, leaving her with the overwhelming responsibility of caring for Carter while also providing for her other children.

This is where we are asking our family, friends, and community to come together.

Our goal is to help ease the financial burden on Angel so that she can focus on what matters most: Carter’s health, comfort, and recovery. Donations will go toward household bills, groceries, transportation to medical appointments, everyday living expenses, and caring for her children.

No mother should have to choose between being at her sick child’s bedside and keeping a roof over her family’s head. No mother should have to worry about how she will feed her children while watching one of them fight cancer.

Despite everything Carter has endured, he continues to show incredible courage and strength. He has already begun treatment, and we are holding on to faith, hope, and the belief that brighter days are ahead.
