Help Carter Beat Colon Cancer and Stay with his Family

Hello everyone!

This GoFundMe is being set up for our dear friends, Carter Leach, his amazing wife Lindsey, and their two boys Brody (18) and Malone (7).

Unfortunately, Carter was very recently diagnosed with colon cancer that is also affecting his liver production. At the moment, he’s unable to proceed with chemotherapy or surgery because his liver levels are too high. He’s had three stints placed. Once his liver levels are nearer where they should be, he will be starting his journey with chemo. He has a consult at MD Anderson this Friday to discuss further options.

Carter is unable to work at the moment, and Lindsey, a first-grade teacher, has run out of paid leave and will be going on unpaid FMLA soon.

If you’ve ever had a run-in with cancer, you know the costs associated with this battle can be astronomical. Physically, mentally, and financially draining.

We’d like to help them ‘rally the troops,’ so to speak. Anything you’re called to provide would be a blessing and could help with hotel costs during long stays for chemotherapy in Jacksonville, groceries, gas, vehicle maintenance, bills, and all the other unexpected costs.
