Help Carter after their accident

Our dear friend Carter got in a pretty serious car accident a little over a week ago. They were traveling westbound on Ida B Wells and were stopped, waiting to safely turn left onto Wells. The first impact was a speeding driver slamming into their car, the 2nd impact was the car being slammed into a concrete median.

Carter is pretty banged up, some bruises & 2 fractured ribs. The good news is the accident was the other driver's fault, but the bad news is their insurance card said it was expired, so while Carter's insurance company tries to determine if the other driver was insured, Carter is left recovering at home & waiting.

Carter has been making a living by driving for Uber/Lyft, so now they have lost their income & the weeks without income have started piling up. The city towed their car to Lower Wacker Drive & someone broke into it & also tagged it. The car has been totaled, which will leave Carter unable to make a living until they are able to buy another car or find another job (they're looking for a job right now!)
