Carson Cannon was born and began to have seizures 6-8 hours after birth. Those seizures have continued to plague him despite his mom and dad trying various meds and nutrition options. Recently, a new option has been offered to Carson in the form of a brain surgery called a corpus callostomy in which the corpus callosum will be surgically severed in order to keep the seizures from affecting both sides of his brain. This major surgery will be performed at UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh and affects Carson's whole family.
