My son Carson just turned 7 years old on July 17th. He just had his birthday party on the 20th. Well, I got him a check-up and we recently found out he had an enlarged heart. So, we were going to bring him to Children's Hospital so he could get seen and looked at a few days after his birthday party.

I noticed his feet were very swollen, so I brought him into the ER to make sure he was OK. Now, he is in heart failure and most likely will need heart surgery to get better. He is on medication and it’s keeping him stable, but he will need heart surgery to come home. No time soon, it’s going to be a very, very long time, but I appreciate every help I can get for my son.

My baby boy is so strong that he’s lived with this for years. At the age of two, he came in for a hernia operation and it went bad, and I believe that’s when it started! But my baby boy is so strong and he needs all the prayers and support he can get right now. So, that is why I am asking for help because he will most likely need a new heart.

So please, I'm asking everyone I can to help him. I am freaking out and I don’t know what to do, but I will greatly appreciate all the help and I know my son will too. I wish I could post videos of how he just was on his birthday, a happy, energized little boy, normal! So please, and thank you so much. God bless my baby boy.
