I am very humbly creating this GoFundMe because I feel called to take the next step in my journey.

I have been alcohol free for 5 and a half years, but it was a long road to get here. I started drinking when I was young, and it quickly took over my life. I got multiple underage tickets and eventually 2 DUIs. Alcohol damaged my relationships, made it hard to keep up with bills, and left me disconnected from who I really was. When my mom passed away, my drinking got even worse and I felt completely lost.

On March 8, 2020, I quit drinking for good. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it changed my life. Since then, I’ve been building a life that feels real and true to me. Along the way, people have reached out to me with questions about living alcohol free, and I’ve been able to share my story and walk beside them. Those moments have shown me how much this work means to me and how deeply I want to help others who are struggling.

Now I want to take it further and become a certified Life and Recovery Coach. To do this, I need to complete two programs. One is a recovery coach training that takes a few weeks, and the other is a life coach and mind-body practitioner program that takes about 5 to 6 months. Together, the cost is a little over $5,000, which I can’t cover on my own right now.

If I had to wait until I saved up, I’d be putting this off for at least a year. But my heart tells me now is the time. I am ready to begin so I can show up for others who feel stuck in the same place I once was. I believe the key to real wellness is living alcohol free, and I want to dedicate myself to helping others discover the same freedom and hope I have found.
