Help Carrie with Gastroparesis
Donation protected
A lot of you know Carrie Monroe. She is a wonderful friend who has been battling gastroparesis for over eight years. This is a progressive disease that causes paralysis of the stomach, and the stomach does not digest food that is eaten. This means that food eaten can sit in the stomach for weeks or even months. It causes severe pain in your stomach and back and also causes severe nausea. It has gotten to the point now where she is completely unable to work. She has had multiple feeding tubes, however, due to scar tissue from multiple stomach surgeries the feeding tubes keep falling out. She currently has an open hole in her stomach that constantly leaks stomach acid and often prevents her from being able to digest her pain medicine. She has enrolled for short term disability while trying to get approved for long term disability, however, she is behind in several of her bills and the short term disability does not cover a lot of her salary. We are asking for funds to get her through until she is approved for long term disability. All donated funds go directly to her account.
