Help Carrie & Students Shine @ Int’l Laban Dance Conference

Hello! I am Carrie Plew- choreographer, Certified Movement Analyst and dance educator located in North Carolina. In 2023, I received an Artist Support Grant from the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro to create a dance exploring the Principles of Irmgard Bartenieff. This dance, “Irmgard Evolving,” will now be presented at the 2025 International Conference for Laban Bartenieff Movement Studies held at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Due to recent changes in federal funding, grant opportunities that I had been counting on to support the expenses for this opportunity are suddenly no longer available. I am asking for your financial support to help cover the costs of room, board and transportation for our group of ten dancers - myself and nine dance students from UNCG and AppState.
