Hi friends, it’s Carrie and I am very excited to share that I’ve been selected to join a global health outreach trip to Kenya this July.

Our team departs from Richmond on July 4th, and we’ll be spending two weeks immersed in Kenyan healthcare and culture. We’ll explore the social factors impacting health, visit hospitals and universities in Nairobi, and connect with local leaders, faculty, and students. Then, we’ll travel to a rural village to truly dive in on the culture and meet more amazing people. This opportunity will help shape the kind of nurse and advocate I want to become and I am beyond excited.

To help raise awareness, my amazing friends at BFT Carytown are hosting a free workout fundraiser on June 28th at 12 PM. Open to everyone! No membership needed!
