Help Tyler’s Recovery Journey

Hello fellow friends, family, supporters, yogis, and loved ones of Tyler, Carrie, and family.

Hello, I'm Lucy Lee. I am a good friend of Carrie (met during yoga) and absolutely wanted to help her family in their time of need. If you're asking yourself, what happened? Why does the family need our support? For those unaware of their story, here's a brief summary:

On July 11th, Tyler was at McHenry Community College attending class. After class, for unclear reasons, the instructor "hit the gas" on his Jeep vehicle with front bar (vehicle was out of control) and hit and pinned Tyler against a parked Ford Ranger...crushing his pelvis area. He was airlifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center (trauma center) in Libertyville, IL.

Since the freak accident, many tests and scans, the pelvis is a spider web of breaks. His sit bones are both broke, inferior and superior ramus, and his sacrum. No fractures...all breaks.

Surgery is scheduled for TODAY, 07/15. He's coping with a lot of pain. Post surgery recovery is a long road with physical therapy, etc.

Carrie has been the absolute most caring mother for Tyler...at his bedside for extended long hours with little sleep.

Funds for the family will go towards:

- Travel expenses to and from hospital and therapy

- Hotel expenses

- Food expenses

- Medical expenses not covered by insurance

Carrie is a selfless human who leads with her heart. She's a natural helper and healer. She is admittedly not very good at asking for help. This is where loved ones come in and do what she would do for us...HELP.
