Help Carrie and the Boys After Dave Sunkes' Passing

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Dave Sunkes’ passing. Dave was

larger than life and his presence and his impact on the lives of so many people was

equally large. His passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts and lives of so many.

Dave was not just an exceptional administrator and coach, but also a dedicated father,

cherished husband, and dear friend to so many. His larger-than-life presence left an

indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. As an administrator, Dave

brought vision and dedication, to the Ballston Spa Athletics program, steering efforts

with unwavering commitment. As a coach, he inspired and guided with a blend of tough

love, and encouragement, shaping not just players but future leaders. It was

important to Dave that his players realized there was life outside of the games they

played. Beyond these roles, Dave was a father whose love and wisdom shaped his

children’s lives. Carrie and Dave shared a relationship marked by deep love,

unwavering support, and countless shared memories, with many anniversaries spent on

the baseball field. The tremendous impact Dave had on all that knew him will be

remembered and celebrated, keeping his spirit alive in the hearts of all who had the

privilege of knowing him.

During this incredibly difficult time, we are reaching out for your support to help Carrie
