heya! I'm Carrie (or "carrarium," if you know me from my Twitch streams!)

I'm a proud, queer, trans woman who's been on HRT for about five and a half (5.5) years now, and after a decent wait on cancellation lists, I finally have the opportunity to get gender-confirming bottom surgery (aka "vaginoplasty") by the end of this year! Having experienced gender identity issues from as early as my adolescence (long before I knew what being trans even was), this news is a literal dream come true, and I've never been more excited for my future!

But I need help.

Unfortunately, as a self-employed content creator, I live vastly below the poverty line. I've been out of the workforce for two years, and despite moderate success with streaming, it's not uncommon for me only to have enough funds to cover my monthly bills. Whatever money that my incredible partner of 16 years and I actually have is currently being saved for our next move, and neither of our insurance plans are able to be accepted for this procedure at this point. So, I'm requesting whatever help you might be willing to offer!

I don't know if I have enough words to describe just how life-changing this procedure would be for me. I've felt uncomfortable in my body for most of my life, long before I could connect it to gender dysphoria. I constantly wished something like this was possible before I ever found out that it was. It would drastically improve my life; I would finally feel connected between my body and soul. It is the culmination of everything I've ever wished for.

Whatever ends up being raised here will go directly towards paying for this procedure out-of-pocket. I'm blessed to have family and friends offering to take care of me post-op, so the real hurdle is getting this procedure paid for at all. Anything you're willing and able to provide is greatly appreciated.
