Help Carriacou Rise from the Ruins
Donation protected
Hello my Name is Jevon Lewis I'm from Brooklyn, NY. The son of Elma Lewis and Martin Lewis who are migrants that live in Brooklyn, New York. In a tragic turn of events, Carriacou, a small yet vibrant island within the Grenadine archipelago of Grenada, recently experienced the wrath of a devastating hurricane. My connection to the fundraiser is to help my family and Friends have been left Homeless due to this. Despite its lesser-known status compared to larger Caribbean destinations, Carriacou has always stood as a proud community, rich in culture and history, and renowned for its resilient and industrious people.
However, the island's tranquility was shattered by the catastrophic force of this hurricane, which wrought unprecedented destruction across the entire island. The storm's ferocity left no part of Carriacou untouched, leading to a complete collapse of its infrastructure and economy.
The hurricane unleashed extreme winds and relentless rain, obliterating homes and businesses indiscriminately. Entire neighborhoods were razed to the ground, with only the barest remnants of structures left standing. Families have lost their homes and all their possessions, while local businesses, many of which were the lifeblood of the community, have been reduced to rubble. Schools, which once served as pillars of hope and education, lie in ruins, depriving children of their safe spaces for learning and growth. Even the island’s churches, which have long been sanctuaries of solace and unity, have been decimated, leaving congregations without places to gather and seek comfort.
The immediate need is vast: emergency shelters must be established, food and water must be supplied, and basic healthcare services must be restored. Rebuilding efforts will require significant resources to reconstruct homes, schools, businesses, and churches, helping the community regain a semblance of normalcy.

Carriacou may not be widely recognized on the global stage, but it is home to remarkable individuals who have contributed greatly to their culture and society. The island’s residents are known for their warmth, hard work, and resilience. Yet, in this moment of unprecedented crisis, they stand in desperate need of assistance.
We are reaching out to the international community, philanthropists, and anyone moved by the plight of Carriacou’s people, seeking donations to aid in the recovery and rebuilding process. Every contribution, no matter the size, will play a critical role in providing immediate relief and supporting long-term reconstruction efforts. Your support can help restore hope to the people of Carriacou, allowing them to rebuild their lives and their cherished island community.
The funds will be spent getting medical supplies, and the resources needed to rebuild homes, schools, businesses, children recreation centers.
I plan to go to Carriacou after I withdraw the funds with a group of Volunteers that I have rounded up between friends and family when we have enough supplies and resources, we will go down to Carriacou Grenada volunteers that I have rounded up between friends and family when we have enough supplies and resources, we will go down to Karri Grenada and personally hand out these supplies, food tools, nails plywood, things to help people rebuild their homes and try to build a big better Carriacou.
