Hi, my name is Carri, and I’m reaching out for support during one of the hardest times in my life. Six weeks ago, I had emergency gallbladder removal surgery, which forced me to take time off work to recover. While I’m now back to work, the financial strain from being out of work has left me struggling to pay my rent and catch up on bills. I’m fighting to keep my home, and I need your help to get through this.
Last year, I experienced homelessness, and the fear of falling back into that nightmare is overwhelming. While recovering from surgery, I received short-term disability payments, but they were barely enough to cover my rent, leaving me behind on utilities and other essentials. I’ve returned to my job, but my first full paycheck won’t come in time to cover this month’s rent. As someone who’s worked hard to rebuild my life, the thought of losing my home again is paralyzing. I’m determined to keep pushing forward, but right now, I need a helping hand to stay afloat.
I’m humbly asking for $2,000 to cover this month’s rent and catch up on overdue bills. This amount will help me secure my housing and cover essential expenses, giving me the stability I need as I get back on my feet with full-time work. Every dollar will go directly toward keeping a roof over my head and rebuilding my financial foundation.
Any donation, no matter how small, will bring me closer to staying in my home and avoiding the hardship I faced last year. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with your friends, family, or community would mean the world. Your support will help me keep moving forward.
Thank you so much for reading my story. Your kindness, whether through a donation or a share, gives me hope and reminds me that I’m not alone. With your help, I can keep my home and continue rebuilding my life with strength and gratitude.
